Sweet Mary Grace- Month 8

Miss Mary Grace,

This past month has flown by. You are changing each and every day. I'm amazed at how fast you pick up on things- sometimes I look at you and can see that you're learning something new. You definitely keep us on our toes.

Happy Girl
eating time is fun! There is never a dull moment when it comes to feeding you silly girl. You're eating all kinds of foods these days and it's so much fun to watch you taste something for the first time...you love, love, love yogart, banana oatmeal, and the list goes on and on. We gave you a taste of ice cream, and you better believe you were in heaven and were twirling your tongue around because you wanted more. In regards to formula, you take about 4-5 bottles-working our way down! I've resorted to feeding you with just a diaper on as we have to wipe you down and hose you off afterwards...I've realized i won't have a clean house for years ;)

a growing girl. It has been a rough few days around these parts as you have been one sick puppy. first, it started with a cough and you were fussy, then it turned into a full blown cold, with all sorts of coughing and congestion. We ended up taking a trip to see Dr. E {Mommy was afraid of an ear infection- which you didn't have, thank goodness}We were lucky to get you weighed though, and you are a whopping 16 pounds, 14 ounces...my arms agree! You're in size 3 diapers now and are still sporting the 6-9/12 month attire. You are starting to look like a little girl instead of a baby and it makes mommy sad to see you changing so quickly. Your hair is really starting to grow and it looks as if you will have Daddy's strawberry blonde hair color {this makes me oh so happy since I've always wanted a red headed baby}. Mommy puts a bow in your hair ANY time we leave the house and you love all the attention you get little one...wonder where you get that from? You are still lacking any teeth, and we kid around about Santa bringing you a set of baby dentures.

sweet dreams. You are still napping 2 times a day, and you are still able to put yourself to sleep without fussing. You lay down around 8:00 each night and wake between 6:30 - 7:30 each morning- you are the dream baby when it comes to sleep.

favorite things to do. Most days, you love to roll around and get into EVERYTHING within reach of your play mat. You love when we read you books, and you love to be in the kitchen watching me cook so it's almost like we're doing it together. You are quite the nosy little thing and insist on being "in the middle" of any and every thing going on at home. Mickey Mouse is still a must in the mornings and you're becoming more interested in the iPad.
Mommy loves that you love books :)

milestones/big days. You said your first word  ("mama" which practically made my year), and decided you'd like to start trying to wave. You're curious, inquisitive, and love to be in the know. you have one FEISTY personality, that's for certain. You like things done your way and you have no tolerance..it's immediate meltdown if you don't get what you want {blame it on the red hair}.
The 8 month birdie sticker didn't last long this time :)

I can't believe you are already 8 months old...this first year is flying by at warped speed and I need things to slow down! This next month we have all sorts of fun things in store- first weekend away to Poppy's, and all the fun activities leading up to Christmas (visiting Santa Claus, Christmas Parades, fun family functions... I cannot wait!)

Mommy and Daddy love you toots! Thanks for making each and every single day too much fun!
