Sweet Mary Grace- 1 Month Old

Miss Mary Grace, Happy 1 month birthday my darling baby girl...time is FLYING by {just like everyone forewarned me about} and I cannot believe you have been with us for an entire month already! It seems just like yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital and introducing you to family and friends.
A little bit about you:

You have QUITE the personality, let me tell you. Daddy and I have a feeling you are going to be a little spitfire!

You are such a good baby. We have people ask us if you ever cry! You are such a mellow, happy little girl. You are so content with life. You are able to play and keep yourself occupied for long periods of time {sometimes up to 45 minutes} which gives Mommy time to cook dinner or get dressed in the mornings.

You love to eat-I tell everyone you'd eat 24 hours a day if I let you, but even I need a break from feeding you sometimes, which is why daddy started feeding you from a bottle once a day {starting at 2 weeks old} so that Mommy can have a little time off.

You graduated to size one diapers at about 3 weeks old, simply because we used up all the newborn sizes. I think we're starting to master the art of changing a diaper, but at first  daddy would go through 2-3 during changings because you would either pee on him or have a little something "special" as soon as you were clean. You wear the Huggies little snugglers brand and Daddy and I joke about buying stock in the brand since we go through them like crazy! You've also had tons of gas and fussiness since we started supplementing with formula {at 3 weeks old}, which I know is painful for you, but can be entertaining for us to watch as you wiggle away, passing gas and making funny faces.Thank heavens for Little Tummies gas drops and your pediatrician recommending fun infant aerobics to work out the gas-these have been lifesavers for us! We also went through 3 different types of bottles before settling on the Dr. Brown type to help out with these gas issues. Likewise, it took us a few days to find a formula that works for you. You jive well with Nutramigen {which just so happens to be some of the most expensive formula- go figure}.

You slept right at 2.5-3 hours per feeding for the first 2-3 weeks, but suprised us around 3-4 weeks when you started  5-6 hour sleep rotations at night..please tell me we're on the fast track to an all night sleeper soon!

We've finally settled into a little routine at night. You take your bath between 7-7:30 and then it's time for your nightly bottle/breastfeeding. You're usually asleep in your bassinet by 8-8:30 and sleep soundly until 2-3 a.m. {this is at 3-4 weeks old}.

Watching you during tummy time is so much fun...you get so excited and start pushing up your arms, legs, and your head and your entire family is in agreement that you're going to roll over very early! You are able to hold your head up for a few seconds at a time which is fantastic--go baby girl!

You are still wearing a few newborn clothes, but you have moved on to some 0-3 month attire due to your length. You are so long!

This past month we also celebrated some fun little milestones-your first Easter, having someone else watch you {Granny kept you for a few hours while Mommy and Daddy did some shopping}, you took a shopping  trip to Tuscaloosa with Mommy and Miss Kristi, your first trip to Ezell's, and your first doctor's appointment.

Life with you is absolutely incredible, and I can only imagine just how much fun these next months are going to be because of you. Lying in bed with you during the mornings, rocking you to sleep for your naps, and waking up with you in the wee hours...it's a challenging job, but the most fulfilling position I've ever had. Daddy and I are so in love with you!
