So I redesigned my blog.

I also upgraded STITCHES and added new photos- so have a looksy!

My dear friend, and kindred spirit, T, has plunged into the world of blogging. We spent yesterday afternoon discussing sewing and building blogs. I'm super excited that she's started journaling her life. This chickadee is amazing- she's a home school mom with THE most beautiful and talented girls, she's a painter, sewer, cook, and the list goes on and on! She's extremely crafty and always amazes me with her extraordinary amount of talent. She is also a very strong Christian- one whom I seek advice from often. I'm so very lucky to have her as a friend- and I look forward to reading her posts.

So, all of my faithful bloggers (and blog stalkers)- take a minute and check out her page. I've also liked her under my fellow bloggers. I promise that after reading about her for a bit, you'll get hooked!

T- thanks for the mini sewing lessons! I cannot wait for our trip- we're going to have a blast! =)

Simplicity

Today I decided to go ahead and change my blog. I was originally planning on using one of my Christmas designs. (See previous blog). However, I drastically changed my mind! For a while now I've had big, showy blogs. For the first time ever I opted on a simple blog. Surprisingly, it's my favorite design of all! After all, it's not the look that makes a blog great- it's the content! I was a bit apprehensive about saving my changes and showing it off. I've updated just about everything- so take a look around and tell me what you think!

It's no surprise that this week's Quote of the Week revolves around simplicity.

I've been doing a bit of blog designing for the holidays and here's what I've come up with....







I won't decorate my blog for Christmas just yet....but it's on my mind! I love these and can't wait to change my blog for the holidays! Hmmm...but which one will I use? What do you think?

Trying my hand at blog designing......

I've decided to try and design layouts for my blog. Now, I'm just starting out so don't be too harsh of critics! How did this all get started? Well, my girlfriend Layla added a super cute layout to her page over the weekend (see Ordered Chaos). I had no idea that you could get ready made backgrounds. So, I started browsing. I came upon several that I liked- only problem was they wouldn't have matched my previous blog heading. So, I decided to do some research on designing headings. One website mentioned ways to create your own. One way suggested was through a program I have on my computer. So, I stated playing around and this is what I came up with......

For the teacher in me....

I actually applied this to my page and did the entire blog in black and white. It was really cute...although it only lasted about twenty minutes. It was good until I created.....

Still playing around.....Okay, this could be my new favorite. I think I'm getting addicted to blog designing. I'm going to end up changing my blog daily if I keep this up!
