I can now check that off of my list. I've wanted to go to a concert for years- just never really made up my mind to go. This was something that I wanted to do while I'm still young, in my twenties, and before I have children.
Well, I'm happy to say that I finally got off of my boo-tay and went! Tuesday after work, my dear friend
Mizz Hoppa and I drove to Birmingham to see JOHN MAYER! Yes, I know you're jealous :)
We had a great time! I cannot say enough about how much fun I had! It was great to get away with a friend and do something I've always wanted to do!
I hate to admit this, but we ended up leaving while he was still singing. He had already sang all of his new songs from the album Battle Studies. I highly recommend this CD- it's amazing. He started singing some older tunes and I was about to pass out from exhaustion- so we headed back to our hotel.
Wednesday we rode around Birmingham and had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory- yummo! Being in the 'Ham brought back so many memories! We were staying about a mile from my old apartment and church- so I was able to drive by and reminisce!
Here is a video and a few pics from our trip.

Getting ready for the show. I tried to wear a 'rocker' type shirt.
I'm sooo not a rocker. lol.
So many people!
Ready for John to make his grand appearance!
Please excuse my hair etc, you must remember that not only did I teach 5 year olds all day, but I drove 3+ hours to get there. So, I apologize for looking so 'haney'.
Sigh.... there are no words :)
The fabulous
